Hong Kong Post

Three (3) days enjoying Hong Kong wasn't nearly enough but we did get to visit many of the sights Steve remembers visiting with his sons almost 30 years ago.  Naturally lots of things have changed in that much time and many sights are brand new!  But we really are thrilled to have had this opportunity to see HK and the weather was pleasant, especially after leaving the tropical heat of the Philippines and Indonesia.  Some fog in the morning and hazy skies over the city, but very nice temperatures.  Hong Kong is near the same Latitude as Fort Lauderdale/Miami so the winter weather is close to what we'll have at our new home in South Florida.  Prices in Hong Kong aren't nearly the bargain Tom was hoping for, haha, but nevertheless he enjoyed shopping in the Stanley Market and elsewhere.  Today we're sailing for Nha Trang, the ancient capital of Vietnam so look for another post in a few days.  Until then...."Joi gin" or goodbye.

  1. Hi! So glad to hear you're enjoying Hong Kong! You can tell in your relaxed smiley faces that you're really enjoying yourselves. :)Thanks for the updates. Not sure how hard it is for you, but we all enjoy them. Have a happy St. Patrick's day! Hmmm, I wonder, do they serve green beer in Hong Kong on St. Patrick's day? :) May those who love us, love us
And those who don't love us,
    May God turn their hearts
And if he can't turn their hearts,
    May he turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping!
