Singapore is one of the world's most beautiful cities and our two day visit this fall again provided us with lots of new experiences. Our dear friend, Kris Hartley, who lives here while studying for his PhD met us at the dock. Kris escorted us and our friends in taking the subway to downtown where Fred and Ken checked into the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. This was planned so they might swim in its infinity pool that lies atop the three building structure and we enjoyed checking out their room and the views from the top of the hotel before heading off into the city and its many ethnic neighborhoods.
Kris was able to join us that evening onboard the Amsterdam for dinner and we watched another beautiful sunset from the ship's dining room.
We appreciate Kris taking time to visit with us and we look forward to seeing him again when we return here this coming March on the World Cruise 2015 that makes up the 2nd half of our 220 day cruise. Our next port of call will be Jakarta, Indonesia. Thanks for following us on this adventure.
