Seychelles & Madagascar post

We visited two beautiful island nations in the Indian Ocean - first, the Seychelles - where we visited a beachside resort, Steve shopped in the local market for a shirt, and we saw giant tortoises that lived in a lovely botanic garden.

We took a photo of Tom standing behind a sculpture of the double-sided husks of the unusual Coco de Mer, a variety of coconut found only in the Seychelles.

Three days later we arrived in Andoany (formerly named Hellville) in Madagascar where we rode tenders to the shore and then we sailed in a small dinghy to Nosy Komba, a nearby island, that has a sanctuary for endangered Lemurs.  Situated on a hillside off the stretch of beach alongside a small village, we saw these rare creatures in the trees and one climbed down to be fed some banana by Steve before it scurried back up the tree.  Later you'll see that Tom wasn't going to be outdone by Steve when it comes to greeting a small (only 3 feet long) python, but the expression on Tom's face tells it all, haha!
